My second game in the Pico-8 Advent Calendar Game Jam 2024 has been released. It's Mari Lwyd's Festive Rap Battle!

The Mari Lwyd is a traditional Welsh midwinter ritual featuring a decorated horse skull mounted on a pole, carried by a person hidden under a cloth. The group bearing the Mari Lwyd visits homes or pubs, engaging in a playful rhyming contest, where they exchange verses with the occupants to gain entry. If successful, Mari Lwyd is is welcomed inside for food, which is donated to the food bank.

You must prevent Mari Lwyd from entering your house by having a rap battle. Simply match the buttons pressed by Mari Lwyd.
